More Civilization Fractals

I slowly came upon this theory like pouring molasses in January.  (After reading everything I have written, can you tell that I am hugely influenced by Michael Crichton?  And yes, I only first became aware of the existence of the concept of fractals after reading Jurassic Park.  No, I did not have knowledge of their existence before the early 1990s.  I was a tween, so sue me already.)

My theory slowly took form.  And as it did, nearly everything that humans have done, or have had done to them, has fallen neatly into place.  This theory is supremely complex, sure.  But it is simultaneously clean, straightforward.  It manages to explain so many things.  It appears to answer several burning questions about human history, about scientific discovery and creativity, about human developmental psychology, even about lack of scientific discovery and creativity.

Anyway.  I had been reading on the internet about "racism" and all the tandem accusations spewed like slop, and I was getting a headache from the aggravation and the frustration. Of course not only because of the internet, since "racism" has been around longer than the internet.  There is always nattering blather about how America is obsessed with "racism" and racial identity and racial politics, and always has been, ad nauseum.

Apparently there is a lot of conflict within the black community because there are shades and gradients of black -- brown, tan, beige, dark brown, etc.  This produces a subset of racism called "colorism."  I have known since at least my middle school days that black people, especially black girls and women, are particularly sensitive about their hair.  Their hair length, texture, thickness, silkiness, softness-v-coarseness, resemblance to "white people's hair," natural vs. styled, weaves, sewn-in styles.  In all honesty, I had known about the "colorism" since middle school also.

It seems that "colorism" causes as much aggravation and strife within the black community as racism does without the black community.  I read this and I was rolling my eyes in frustration because I wondered why they have to get so upset and make such a big deal over something that is not really dire.  And I realized that while I can sympathize with them -- this was not really my problem.  They need to figure this out on their own.  That has to be their learning experience, their evolution, their growth.

But I was astounded to learn that most populations of Asians *are* racist, and they are *okay* with this fact.  They have come to terms with it.  It does not cause crime, mugging, r--, gang activity, riots, violent protests.  It does not cause emotional strife, it does not cause depression, anxiety, identity crisis, complaining about brown light-skin vs. dark skin.

Looking back through my memory, I realized that this was true.  Indians, my own Bangladeshi, Chinese, Taiwanese, Indonesian, Malaysian, take your pick.  Whatever Asian culture we are talking about, there has always existed a brand of colorism.  Asians prefer to marry and mate light-skinned Asians within their country.  There are shades and gradients of yellow, brown, yellow-brown, tan, wheatish, fair, et al.

Of course, a given person can only mate with someone that will accept him or her.  This is universal throughout the human race.  Which means that only the lightest will be privileged with marrying the lightest, the next lightest will get to marry anyone darker than that, and on and on down the color line.

Full disclosure, I have always been fine with this.  This makes sense.  The light-skinned people are not obligated to hook up with anyone darker than them.  Not out of any nonsense notion of "equality" or "fairness," and not for any reason unless one is truly madly deeply head over heels in love with another one.  In which case, go have a crazy over-the-top wedding and have lots of marbled babies.

But to claim that colorism is "evil" is exaggerated, hysterical idiocy.  Come off it.  Marriage and romance are about whom you are most comfortable with, not about who is most politically correct.  The darker brown ones can bitch and moan and groan all they want.  But the fact remains, light-skinned people are not under any moral obligation whatsoever to raise dark-skinned people's self-esteem by having sex with them.  Light-skinned folks should not be forced to include dark-skinned folks in the popular crowd.  The dark ones got rejected by the light ones.  Get over it.

Asians do not obsess over this "racism" as a national pastime.  There are no "national conversations about race" that need to occur.  It has already been settled.  Yes, we're racist, we're over it, that's old news, move on.

This was breathtaking discovery for me.  This was fascinating.  I am forever grateful to fate, destiny, etc. that I stumbled upon this.  So you are saying it is possible for people to be keenly aware of racial differences, and yet not abuse and flagellate and torment themselves over it?

When I say racism, I do not mean a harmless innocuous being proud of one's own family and cultural heritage.  That is not racism.  I am talking about actively engaging in behaviors that indicate that one feels that certain ethnic groups are more fit and acceptable than others.  This would include the act of only socializing with people that one feels most comfortable with.  This means promoting a particular race as more well-suited to particular careers and livelihoods.  And yes, this includes romancing and marrying someone that one deems acceptable for oneself to marry.

Now, I am NOT saying that hate crimes are okay.  Crimes are crimes are crimes.  Doesn't matter what the motivation is.  Lynching, r--, gang-beating, what happened to Medgar Evars.  Those are sick and filthy and vile, and just because I am slightly racist in terms of human intimacy and comfort does not mean I am okay with the existence of crimes against humanity.  Colorism is not even close to advocating violation of a human being.

A criminal that violates a person's right to bodily autonomy, should be charged with the same crime as any non-racially-based or non-sexually-based crime.  Black people, dark-skinned Asians, whoever we are talking about must have the same individual freedoms and rights of any group of people, no argument there.  Do not take my words out of context.

Anyway.  You cannot imagine the relief I felt when I chanced upon this revelation.  It felt like I could finally let go of a breath I had not even realized I was holding.  A huge burden was lifted from my shoulders.

I detected a parallel between this peculiarity of Asian culture, and the fact that adults tend to be okay with their flaws, whatever the flaws may be.  If they can learn to live with it and still function in society just fine, then this is not a problem.  I have grown to accept it. I have learned to accept myself for who I am. I am a colorist. I have made my peace with this fact.  I have accepted it, and I am moving on.

Hmm, interesting.  What other ways have Asians demonstrated that they are more progressed along the timeline of civilization development?

- The above information combined with the high mean IQ of Asians,
- As well as the vast expansive history that spans several millennia back into the past

I hold a similar, if more impatience and vehement, view towards western women and women's rights issues.

A pandemic number of western society first-world females proclaim themselves so oooo confused about their role and lot in life because, gosh darn, they are just so trailblazing, capable, independent, and glass-ceiling-busting that traditional women's roles just don't fit them anymore.

As we have all heard, western society women claim that they are now emancipated, feministed, empowered, liberated, modern young women free from the shackles of an outdated oppressive patriarchal regime.  They claim that because of this newfound freedom, the traditional social roles of men and women are now topsy-turvy y and confusing as all get out, and therefore the old answers and approaches to life don't work anymore.  They have declared traditional societal roles as "obsolete."

___relationships, baby-daddy situations, (These liberal females are too chicken to use the word "marriage."  "Marriage" is a dirty four-letter word in the liberal feminist lexicon; it is the worst foul-language curse that a liberal female could possibly utter.

they are still trying to figure out how
oh it is all just so confusing, }}}insp, insppp||||

What the hell is so Goddamn confusing about this?
I'm not really following.  What the hell is so damn difficult to understand?
What is do damn confusing about this?

|||||these females say that "society" expects them to act like dumb bimbos... erm, let us examine this accusion towards "society" a bit more carefully.||||

Notice that when these females say that "society" expects them to whore themselves out for pleasing the crowd, they do not actually mean society.  They actually only mean the entrainment media:  hollywood/pnr.

This is because actual society, as in flesh and blood human beings, do NOT tell them this, and in fact have never told them this.  Their families, their genuine friends, teachers and other people at school, church groups -- none of these normal human beings ever advised the aforementioned young ladies that they had to be dumb bimbo xsluts in order to make their mark in life.

The truthful account is that the dumb sluts chose of their own volition to discard common sense and morals.

-----

Several years ago I wrote an essay that drew from everything I knew, at that time, of the human experience.  I drew from facts of economics, international trade, history, different cultures, general social progress, and individual progress.  I constructed a theory that cleanly but complexly wove all this complex information together into a coherent tapestry.  There, I had theorized that civilizations rise and fall in cycles.  I remarked that we in this society are fortunate enough to be living in the Golden Age of the United States.

However, now that I am a bit older, I realize that I did not have all the necessary information back then.  Crucial pieces of the puzzle, heretofore unseen, are now revealing themselves.

Now I am seeing more sociopolitical patterns that still fit that same previous theory of mine -- but which add massive mountainous strata.  Not to mention, the angle of my vantage point has completely revolved.  I see that the puzzle of human past and future is far more complex, and far larger than I previously even knew existed.  It is as though I were a Flatlander before, being conscious of only two dimensions.  And now the cloak has dissolved, and I see in three dimensions.  I revel in their saphenous nature.

In my defense, I like to think that my previous theory was not simply a matter of youthful hubris.  I think that at the time, events truly had not progressed which might have offered some insight into human history.  I think that a tiny little bit of time has passed, enough for humans to experience what happens next in the timeline.  And I realize I have to amend my previous theory.

I suppose it is strange that a live-wire topic such as racism was the gentle nudge that led me to this theory.  Then, everything clicked into place.

More Asian Students Needed to Study Liberal Arts

Dammit, Onion!  Hire me!!  Hire me!!  Look at me, I'm a good writer!!  I can totally do satire!  Why won't you hire me for freelance work??  Why won't you hire ANYONE for freelance work???
**********

Our society needs to acknowledge a growing need among the demographics of young people in higher education.  There are troubling trends in education that need to be addressed and that require action.  We need to establish scholarships for Asian students to encourage them to enter crap fields.  Colleges and universities in the western world are not doing enough to attract Asian students and South Asian students (Indo-Pak subcontinent) into, for example, business and behavioral sciences.

It is not only the fault of the institutions of higher learning.  As a society, we are not doing enough to attract Asian students to study liberal arts.  Asian and South Asian students have little to no incentive to enter, for example, health and human development.  There are no financial aid packages offered with the purpose of expounding to expose abstract wishy-washy job environments to Asian students.  There is very little effort being made to encourage Asian students to devote four or more years of their lives and approximately sixty thousand dollars (at state schools; private colleges charge even more) towards completing a degree subject that most elderly people have honorarily earned just by being a student of life.

How can we encourage Asian college students to major in such subjects as Graphic Communications, Psychology, Sports Journalism, and Business Management?  We need to do more to increase awareness and participation from Asian students into studying college majors that are not likely to get them jobs when they graduate.  Today, too many Asian and South Asian students, including international students, tend to enter the critical fields of Science, Math, Engineering, and Technology.

We must encourage Asian students to choose fields of study that will allow them to party, attend frat house social functions, get pregnancy scares, be promiscuous, and get wasted regularly, and still be able to scrape together a college degree.  Asian students wishing to attend college should be aware that these majors can be and are welcome to them.  Currently, Asian students tend to be concentrated within critical industry majors.

Deploying various strategies of advertising liberal arts majors as being more Asian-friendly would truly help out all parties involved.  This would ameliorate the gross inequality of distribution of races among college majors in any given college or university.  Doing this would allow more white and black students to enter the SMET fields because they would not be facing the brutal competition offered by their more naturally-skilled Asian competitors.  And also, in implementing this strategy, there would be more even distribution of the races among all the major concentrations.  It would be more palatable and not so politically incorrect.

Especially worrisome is the fact that among Asian and Indian students in the United States, the distribution of the sexes in the science fields is nearly 50-50.  If you look at the population of Asian students including international students, at any given university within the core sciences -- there is almost equal number of men students and women students studying mathematics and sciences.  What can we do to alleviate this gross injustice?

We must pioneer Asian students in droves, especially their women, so that they may discover the joys of slacking off and still be able to barely struggle to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration, Marketing, Theater, or Financial Management.

How can we adjust the number of Asian and Indian women studying science/technology versus liberal arts so that it more closely reflects the distribution of white women and/or black women?

Overall, we as a society, as a nation that used to have the most powerful GDP in the world up until about five years ago, need to do much more to increase awareness among Asian students that majors such as American Studies, Sociology, Art History, Gender Studies, and Communication Studies do exist.  They need to be aware that it is possible to drink, party, and be promiscuous for four years, (or some statistics show five to six years), and still complete a bachelor degree that is that is only marginally useful in today's hypercompetitive job market that includes international competitors.  We must do more to increase awareness among Asian and South Asian students that they should demand less from themselves than to enter a critical industry field that has an influx of skilled, talented, eager individuals from overseas.

How can we entice more Asian students to enter the vast, lucrative world of moving back home with their parents and folding sweaters at the Gap after finishing their four-year degrees in English Literature, Bachelor in Business Management, Bachelor of Arts in Biology, or Modern Languages?

Colleges and universities can certainly do their part to attract Asian students into vague subject fields by featuring success stories of Asians in the student handbooks and catalogs.  On their websites, universities could feature *catablogs* that chronicle a look inside an average day for an Asian student, whether full-time or part-time, who studies any of the liberal arts at the university.  Colleges and universities must begin early with their recruitment efforts.  They need to reach out to students while they are in high school and planning their college lives.

We must re-design recruitment efforts to be better-geared towards attracting Asian students.  This could include distributing brochures that feature testimonials from previous Asian students.  For example, an Asian student might have completed a degree in any chosen liberal arts field, and is now shift leader at Olive Garden.

Most guidance counselor offices in most high schools have a bookshelf for college advertisement literature.  They could carry pamphlets that bear photographs of Asian students enjoying a nice game of beer pong.  And it is not all just fun and parties.  Sometimes it is relaxation.  Communal marijuana bongs are a cornerstone of the world of Psychology with Emphasis in Community Studies.

All of these techniques also can be executed with slight modification for recruitment of international students.  Colleges and universities need to increase their efforts to reach out to students currently overseas in their native Asian nations.  College representatives could visit top high schools and secondary schools in foreign nations and persuade students to consider studying liberal arts abroad in America.  They could emphasize that some of the most popular majors among American students are, for example, Bachelor of Science in Health Science; Language and International Health; and Production Studies in Performing Arts.

It is essential that the fact be emphasized that these are very popular majors among American kids.  Fitting in, after all, is just as important as, if not more important than, getting a solid, useful education that has the end goal of getting a job.

This could be done in much the same fashion that athletic scouts from big sports-and-party schools go to high school football games and try to cajole popular football players into enrolling at their school on full rides.  If we are to remain a nation that used to be the most powerful free independent sovereignty on earth until a few years ago, then we need to take action now.

"Patronization" Towards Middle-Class White Women As Opposed To Asian Women In Science

Let us talk about patronization and insulting behavior directed towards women.  This is regarding how some women complain that men do not take them seriously in the professional fields of math and/or science.  Nor when these topics arise in everyday conversation.

The thing is, I have never had this problem.  Nobody has ever acted like, “awws how cute, that girl wants to study science.”  Nobody has ever patted me on the head and said, “oh how adorable.”

I honestly have never had to deal with that.  People look at me and automatically assume I am smart.  This has been a recurring, trusty old constant throughout my life.  No matter whether we are talking about teachers/profs or work supervisors.  Or friends and acquaintances.  It is very nice, and very accurate, of them.

All my math, physic, chemistry, and biology teachers in high school expected me to do great things.  They were proud of me when I got A’s on tests, but more importantly they expected that from me.  As a matter of fact, they were disappointed with me if I did not get excellent grades.  This is terrible-- one time in Honors Physics I got a C on a test.  Aghhh, not characteristic for me at all.  My honors physics teacher in high school, a white man, took me aside and asked me, "What in the world happened?  I was just bragging to your Dad about how you are one of my best students."  I made sure I got an A in that class.

My chemistry, biology, and advanced math teachers in high school were mostly women.  All throughout grade school, most of my math teachers were women, with a few men math teachers.  The vast majority of them were excellent teachers.  Nobody looked at those female math teachers and doubted their abilities.

In college -- chemistry, calc-based physics, calculus professors have never acted like they expected anything less from me as a woman student than they would from my white male counterparts (other students in those same classes).  College-- yes that would include white male professors.  You know, the demographic that the media keeps telling us are evil, and are the cause of all the world’s pains and suffering?

Same mutual respect and courtesy between the white male students in my classes, and myself.  None of them have questioned my knowledge [[[grasp, comprehension]]] of the subject matter.  Heck, during a lot of the lab assignments, they look to me for guidance!  They ask me to clarify a step in instruction, or they sometimes ask me to explain a lecture concept.

Perhaps I just give off a demeanor that is incredible nerdy.  Shrug.  Fine with me.

((Same with my own father, and mother also.))))
Same with the men as well as the women in the Bengali-American community that my family habituate.  As a matter of custom and respect, all the kids (my generation) address them as aunties and uncles.  All the uncles would ask me what my proposed college major would be, what college I planned on attending, what job I would seek after graduating.  The aunties, as well.  Not a single one of them was taken aback when I answered that my planned major was microbiology, a hard science subject.  Once I told them my major is Microbiology, they nodded knowingly and acceptingly.  They well understood that this is a realistic stepping stone on my path to medical school.

Now that I am in college, they hold conversations with me about my progress, what all prerequisite math courses I have completed thus far, all that good stuff.  They also are curious as to what entails an undergraduate degree in Micro, presumably because none of them were Micro.  Many of them also encouraged their own daughters to purse math and science degrees.

Which all makes me wonder.  These girls I read about out in the media, complaining that men in science do not take them seriously -- are they projecting a vibe of being air-headed?

A Disgusting Parody Of "Tolerance," Multi-Cultural Races vs. Disgusting Freaks

Here is a disgusting parallel that unfortunately some open-minded multi-cultural types draw.  It is supremely insulting that these liberals think they are being sooooo open-minded for accepting and tolerating other cultures.

In their minds, there is not much discernible difference between the dregs of society, and simply being part of a non-white ethnicity group.  They equate other cultures as being equivalent with ___

In response to how liberals think that because they are so damn tolerant and accepting of diversity.

This does nothing but open up cans and cans of worms.  Whole vats, cargo of worms.  Or also the fact that now these weird lunatic, outer-limit, freak types think that they can worm their way into mainstream society just because non-white races and ethnicities are now being more widely accepted as normal.  (I'm using a lot of nematode references, aren’t I?  No offense meant to the nematodes of the world.)

They are forgetting one very important thing.  Many of these minority communities still hold the nuclear two-parent family structure in very high regard.  They still maintain morals, consciences, and good judgment.  They might be from different ethnicities, but this does not mean they are stupid irresponsible freaks.  They don't go and get knocked up out of wedlock, or knock somebody up out of wedlock (depending on the gender), and/or then sit there and expect to be regarded with the same respect society has for someone who did good things with their life.

It is supremely insulting that so many people think that a different culture and ethnicity and nationality, is somehow on the same plane of existence as an incestuous dangling-by-a-hinge family.  ""alternative lifestyle""

So you honestly think that an entire identity and culture, with its vivid music, festivals, dance, lively arts, visual and performing arts, foods, rituals, customs, dress -- are somehow the same as a person with horrible judgment that self-destructs?

This is insulting.  It is insulting that you think drug addicts and freaks and bisexuals and sex change operation people are somehow on the same level of dignity as foreign people who are proud of their heritage. _________want to stay true to their roots____
It is disgusting that anyone thinks it requires as much effort to be "tolerant" of other cultures as the effort to be "tolerant" of pseudo-consensual crimes against nature.
